The Fashion Careers Clinic at Winchester Fashion Week

Steph from The Fashion Careers Clinic will be speaking at the first ever Winchester Fashion Week on the 30th July. If you're looking to find out more about breaking into the fashion industry, this is the event for you, ideal for students aged 16+.

Winchester Fashion Week is on from 25th-31st July, featuring a range of workshops and talks on fashion design, history of fashion, pattern cutting, textile design, plus catwalk fashion shows.

2.30-3.30: How To Create A Fashion/Textiles Design Portfolio

3.30-4.30: How To Find And Prepare For Fashion Work Experience

Wayne Hemingway, Urban Designer, Founder of Red or Dead and Director of the South Coast Design Forum.

Wayne Hemingway, designer, entrepreneur, founder of Red or Dead and Vintage Hemingway, is coming to meet Winchester’s creative force, as a lift off event for Winchester Fashion Week and to celebrate the recent creation of a Winchester branch of the South Coast Design Forum; the event is jointly organised and hosted by the Café Culture network (www.cafeculture.org.uk )

Wayne is renowned for his challenging and entertaining views on urban design, brand creation and setting up creative businesses. He has been Director of the British Fashion Council, and is Chair of housing design body Building for Life and of the South Coast Design Forum.

This event is free to Café Culture / SCDF members and Fashion Week associates but seats will need to be booked by calling the Discovery Centre on 01962 873603 and using the special password “Vintage” (one seat per member) and it’s first come first served so book straight away! There will be a pay bar for this event.
