The position is with leading supplier, Lloyd Shoes Ltd, working on their Topman account. If you're a mens footwear designer looking for a new job, here are the details:
Senior Footwear Designer
6 + Years experience in the Footwear Industry
Excellent organisational Skills
A good communicator
Good Presentation Skills
Able to work well alone as well as in a team environment
Liaising with internal and external design teams, buyers to communicate clearly about future ranges and trend.
Able to research ideas from all relevant media (Web, Magazines etc)
Creating product boards that illustrate the season’s commercial and directional trends across genres- formal, casual and sports categories.
Being able to translate seasonal trends and apply them strategically to relevant footwear ranges
Ability to design commercially considering target customers, target prices, etc
Uses a wide range resourcing trends and able to influence these ideas into senior management
A good knowledge of different shoemaking processes and the application of different constructions/materials etc
To be responsible for a collection whilst following a brief
Being proactive in all aspects of the role
Taking responsibility for correct targeting of designs
Demonstrates technical awarness
Experience with working with factories
